If you’re planning to go to Mexico, there are various ways to do it. Travel to Mexico can be via air, sea or land.

Numerous travelers get to Mexico via plane. There are over 1,000 airports all over Mexico, so you should easily find an airport near your destination. The Mexico City International Airport, also known as the Benito Juarez International Airport, is one of the busiest not only in the country, but all over the world as well. Various airlines have regular flight schedules to this airport, including Aeromexico, Continental Airlines, American Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa, Japan Airlines, Mexicana, Northwest and US Airways. From here, you can go to different domestic destinations. You can buy plane tickets at your local travel agencies or online. Some travel sites and agencies offer packages, including lodging and tours.

Another way of getting to Mexico is by riding a ferry. However, there are a limited number of passenger liners in Mexico. There are lines in the Yucatan Peninsula, allowing you to go from Villahermosa to Campeche and Merida and finally to Cancun. Another line is in Jalisco, which travels from Guadalajara to Tequila. There are also lines in other areas, such as in Chihuahua.

You can also get to Mexico by land. One way is to ride a bus, since a number of bus companies have branches in in the United States. You can buy your tickets at the terminal. Prices can vary, but generally amount to about $60 for a roundtrip ticket. Another way to get to Mexico is by driving your car. However, this is not advisable, since car insurance from other countries, including the U.S, is not valid in Mexico. This means that if you get into an accident, you may go to prison. It is thus advisable to buy Mexican car insurance before or as soon as you get there.
