Nowadays, the San Marcos Fair is celebrated with a variety of activities. The most awaited parts of the fair are the cockfighting and bullfighting events. After the cockfight, popular singers usually hold a concert. The concert helps attractmore visitors to the festivities.

The San Marcos Fair is composed of stalls that still show off the state’s products. A stage is also set for public concerts and plays. There are also street parties going around the town. There are a variety of games and competitions for arts and cooking. The National Award for Youth Art is also given out during the fair. The fair also holds a beauty pageant, the winner being crowned as the “Queen of the Fair.” The San Marcos Fair also has a licensed casino downtown.

If you plan to go to Mexico to visit the San Marcos Fair, there are a lot of places in Aguascalientes where you can stay. These include a number of hotels, such as Hotel Francia, De Andrea Alameda and the Rio Grande, to name a few. However, as approximately 7 million people attend the fair annually, you may find limited accommodations if you don’t book early enough.
